What I liked:
“The room, especially the bathroom, was amazing. With interior walls of glass, I could study the Guggenheim from the bathtub.
The roof-top breakfast room was also great, with nice views and good food.
The hotel cafe had good wireless connection and the staff was courteous and comfortable with the several hours I spent working there when it was raining.
There is not so much to do in Bilbao other than the Guggenheim (which requires more than 1 day) and the nice river-walk, so the location overlooking the museum was absolutely perfect.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Nothing, except one small thing: One night, after I was in bed, the fire alarms went off - apparently for no reason. The staff was not very communicative about it, and didn't really give me a sense of comfort when they told me it was nothing.”

- Great bathroom”
What the hotel could do better:
“- The rooms with a view on the patio don't actually have windows to the outside, felt quite claustrophobic and asked to change for a room with a view on the outside world (which we were provided with immediately)”

“Great location just over the road from the museum.
Lovely, stylish open space areas.
The walk into the Old Town in only 15mins, although there are many eating and drinking bars closer by.
Great bathrooms with a lovely shower and bath”

“The rooms were not the biggest and those not on the side of the museum did not have a great view”

What I liked:
“The hotel was very well priced compared to similar venues we stayed in over two weeks in the Basque country. The hotel's proximity to the Guggenheim was obviously a factor for choosing this hotel, as well as the easy access to the rest of Bilbao and 15 minute walk by the river to the old town. The modernity of the museum is reflected in the hotel with its contemporary design. Each floor of the hotel is subtly coloured differently, something you notice as travel in the glass lifts. The roof top restaurant which is a definite must for a breakfast or dinner. Our room had a large bathroom including glass wall into the bedroom. I recommend you pay extra for the Guggenheim view, albeit the back of the museum.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Road works - The road between the hotel and Guggenheim is currently a building site with work starting at 8:30am (they start at 9am on Fridays!). OK if you are on a business trip as you will be up and gone, but if there for holiday, really annoying.
Reception Staff - The receptionists could be friendlier and practice smiling.”
