What I liked:
“I found the hotel and its service to be impeccable. The design of the hotel lobby and in particular, our room's bathroom, were unparalleled.”
What the hotel could do better:
“I did not like the staff at the bar downstairs. Although the management at the bar was unaffiliated at the hotel, I think that there needs to be better communication between the hotel and bar staff. I will say that upon complaining about this, the hotel staff member to whom I complained provided me with a breakfast voucher, which was most certainly appreciated. This did not, however, make up for the clear lack of communication and rudeness faced by friends who attempted to meet us one evening at the hotel's bar.”

What I liked:
“Bar and atmosphere during the week-end was great. Decor in the public areas is fantastic.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Service is terrible. Not up to the standards of a hotel of this category. Reception staff was not professional, maid service not done in our room one day, waited to be sitted for breakfast on Sunday for more than 30 minutes in spite of having a lot of free tables (argument was that they were short of staff that day...).
Room is pretty standard too. The bathrooms are great and modern (love Molton Brown!) but the room could be any room of a standard hotel chain.”

What I liked:
“Warm, personal greeting on arrival at the very striking reception area, helped by the complimentary glasses of sparkling wine, which the front of house manager, who personally escorted us to the room, insisted be carried up to the room to be finished there. Room was large, clean and well designed, with a stunning view. The conversion of the former gaol and preservation of design features is impressive.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Only, very slight, gripe was having to get past the "bouncers" controlling the Saturday night line of bar patrons waiting to be admitted when we returned from dinner.”

What I liked:
“This place is very cool. The architecture, history, lobby, the scene...it is all there. A very trendy, chic spot in Boston, perfect for the getaway when you want to rub elbows with the hipsters on Beacon Hill and the likes of Tom Brady.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Room was not as flashy as photos on website, check-in was not clearly marked and hotel turned into such a "hotspot" that we couldn't even get a drink at bar after dinner, it was too crowded.”
