What I liked:
“Charleston Place is centrally located, and has most everything a vacationer could ask for: good service, great restaurant (including a nice garden restaurant for lunch), attentive staff, and a decent gym with a good spa. Club floor offered convenient snacks throughout the day, and a restful, quiet environment at night. I was travelling with my mom to celebrate her birthday. She sometimes struggles with walking up steep stairways; the hotel has good access at nearly all entrances.”

“Hotel main floor staff were sometimes more focused on golf bags than people.”

What I liked:
“The location was wonderful, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very cheerful and helpful. I arrived very early (6:30 am) and was given a room right away. Unfortunately, I was given and uncleaned room by mistake,but,the staff apologized and immediately had my bags moved to another room, close to the pool on the fourth floor. The room and bath was smaller but it turned out to be a much nicer room with balcony overlooking King Street. Mistakes can easily happen but the staff handled it beautifully.”
What the hotel could do better:
“I had a great stay and would stay again. There is not a lot to dislike, they just need to tweak a few things.
The rooms are not very soundproof, the bathroom had no exhaust fan and there is no place to hang evening lenghth dresses. The closet is too short and bathroom hook not high enough to accommadate long clothing and there is no place to hang hand washables.
The pool is great but it could use better, easier to use ladders. I am arthritic and while not crippled enough to need the chair to get in and out, steps would have been a much better choice.”
