What I liked:
“I got one of the private pool villas and it was amazing. Being a mac user with the apple TV was an added bonus. This is one of the most luxurious hotel experiences I've ever had and I travel for a living. The staff was very accommodating and excellent. The food at the restaurant also top notch. I was surprised by all of this since this resort is basically in the middle of nowhere in Thailand. I don't think I've ever been so secluded in my life.”
What the hotel could do better:
“My only gripe is the beach location. it's not the prettiest beach. Actually I don't even think there is any beach area behind the hotel it's just rocks and water. very underwhelming. Visit the hotel for the experience, seclusion and spa. Don't expect a beach getaway. Try Hua Hin if you want to go to the beach.”

What I liked:
“It was as if we were the only guests at the hotel. We saw a lot of people at breakfast but NO ONE was at the pool EVER!!! It was awesome! The food was incredible and the breakfast choices were great. I would come back in a heartbeat! The sound system, Apple TV were all great touches, but the SHOWER was to die for! Seriously, this was a lot bang for our buck. Massages were great. Pool attendants bringing fruit, water and cold spray bottles, need I say more?”
What the hotel could do better:
“One night there were families surrounding us on our floor and the children were out of hand and because of the massive amount of concrete, probably louder then what they really would have been. Might want to put families on family floors.”

What I liked:
“The design, service and food were all exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly and (with our tablet plus membership) we were upgraded to a pool villa. "Pool villa" really underplays the accomodations...more like amazing 2-building-villa-with-private-pool-which-all-looks-like-a-music-video. I've never stayed in such nice accomodations.
Shuttle to Hua Hin is nice, and provides a good night-time diversion.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Location, location, location. My wife and I chose this hotel as it looked most likely to be non-rainy (whereas more exotic locations appeared a bit more risky for the time of year). Cha-am is really nothing...and the beach by the Alila is...a little bit gross. Stray dogs and trash don't equal atmosphere, but stray dogs do seem to rule Thailand.
Other gripes...many other guests brought small children. Why? There is nothing for them to do here other than be generally annoying to those looking to relax. Do others a favor and leave your kids at home.”

What I liked:
“The rain shower!”
What the hotel could do better:
“Poor beach. Only 2 choice of white wine.
Children in adult pool and no control. Can't use main pool because of events, big tour group.”

What I liked:
“Amazing spacial design. Visually - quite extraordinary as soon as you walk up to it.”
What the hotel could do better:
“The constant mosquitoes at night were a reminder of the surroundings. Part of the overall feel I guess, but annoying at times.”
