  2. ihalpin573445

    What I liked:

“It was charming, unique and very British. The location was perfect and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We felt like we were staying in someone's home, instead of in a generic chain hotel. The breakfast was great (included in our rate) and the library's all-day coffee/tea availability was very convenient and contributed to the warm atmosphere.”

What the hotel could do better:

“It was a little (very little) bit on the shabby-chic side - just needs a bit of refurbishment to be top-notch.”

  3. mrushmere

    What I liked:

“The superior touches --welcoming glass of champagne, the breakfast, the lounge and its informal, relaxing atmosphere. Its location in the heart of London.”

What the hotel could do better:

“The room was too small, along with the bathroom, for the price. There was only one computer and I had to wait a considerable time to use it.”

    What I liked:

“The general decor and style was great. The bistro is excellent, both for breakfasts and for an evening meal.”

What the hotel could do better:

“The room was disappointingly small but I get the impression they are pot luck and we did pay the lowest rate.

While the location in Kensington is great, it is a little further from tube stops than we expected - fine when out and about, but a taxi ride arriving and departing.”

  5. mtormollen563615

    What I liked:

“The location was fantastic and the service was excellent. For business travel, the free wireless network and standard US electrical outlet on the desk were very useful. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.”

What the hotel could do better:

“The prices in the hotel bar were outrageous!”
