What I liked:
“Beautiful and atmospheric rooms. Very helpful staff. Very understanding when we had to cut our stay short because our daughter went into labour with our first grandchild!”
What the hotel could do better:
“Some rooms only have showers - but the hotel found us a room with a bath straight away.
Some street noise that went on all night”

What I liked:
“A truly good boutique hotel is hard to find in London. Definitely try The Rookery if you want something off the beaten path. The Victorian decor is unique, and the staff were the friendliest, most accommodating in all my experience staying in London hotels. Easy to get to on the Tube, and a great location for venturing out and trying new restaurants and pubs.”
What the hotel could do better:
“There's no restaurant - but not needed. Room service and snacks are plenty to tide you over between meals in the neighborhood.”

What I liked:
“outstanding! It was exactly how I wanted my last stay in London to be. At the end of every long trip I always book my last night at a Tablet Hotel for a little luxury. The decor was lovely. I always get a little excited over claw foot tubs. I enjoyed the lounge area very much. It was very comfortable and intimate but one can still enjoy conversation with other guests. The service was fantastic; the gentleman at the front desk even made us snacks at midnight and breakfast was delivered in the morning.”

What I liked:
“I travel a lot for both business & pleasure. Unlike any other hotel I have ever stayed in in a big commerical city, particularly one on the edge of the financial district and west end of London, my experience of staying in the Rookery was like staying at the stately home of an 'old money' aristocratic relative (that I don't have!)
It was incredibly quiet, charming, relaxing, grounding, restful and fun! The perfect antidote to a very hectic weekend in London.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Nothing at all!”

What I liked:
“Very relaxed and welcoming. Very personable and pleasant (unpretentious) staff. Gorgeous spacious room furnished in an inoffensive "gentlemanly" manner. A sanctuary in a hectic city.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Disappointed with the lack of public space - public rooms were booked most of the time for business meetings. There is a tiny lounge with fireplace and charming courtyard but couldn't always access it. Not child-friendly! Service was not always perfect, but good.”
