What I liked:
“The hotel was in a great location, making it very easy to get around L.A. The room was nice and what I expected from the pictures.”
What the hotel could do better:
“One day we put the "Do Not Disturb" sign up when we left, because we were only leaving for a few hours and didn't want the room made up. However, when we returned we found that housekeeping had been in our room, despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign. I felt this was a huge mistake for a hotel to make, and made me very wary about what I was leaving out, because apparently the housekeeping staff would enter even if you didn't want them too.
The hotel only changes the sheets if you specifically request it, and upon arrival we noticed a stain on the sheets, so we put the sign up asking for them to be changed. Despite that, and a complaint to the hotel manager, the sheets were never changed during our 4 night stay there.”

What I liked:
“The sheets and bed here are really great. I like to think that I have great sheets at home but I was actually a bit sad to not be getting into that hotel bed the night I got home from my trip. That is definitely a first for me. The room is well furnished with everything I needed and the bathroom was well thought out.
The room service in the AM was very prompt, if slightly unexciting in choices. Still, it did the job and the coffee was better than decent. I would definitely stay here again, now that I know exactly what room to request for optimum quiet.”
What the hotel could do better:
“I am one who needs a quiet room and requested such. I ended up being near an intermittently loud ice machine, which I usually request to not be near but here is the thing, this is a circular hotel so you are either near the ice machine or the elevator. I did a walk around the floor to figure out which would be the ideal room. There is also the issue of the hotel being right off the 405 so highway noise is an issue if you are sensitive to that. You can ask for the quiet side. It is isn't horrendous but it is not silent either. More like white noise.
The shower was also probably the worst I have ever experienced. I am assuming this is because it is an old building with old plumbing but I tried to take a shower in the AM and got a scalding hot shower that I could not even get in and was unable to control the temperature of. Not good. I think if you shower during off hours you may not have a problem, but who wants to think about that when you need to get out the door to work. Still not a deal breaker for me. I'll just plan better next time.”
