“Hotel Puerta America is breathtaking. Beautiful rooms, great public spaces, excellent restaurant and a fun bar (enclosed) on the roof. It had a rare combination of business functionality and outstanding aesthetics and design. It was fun to hang out in my room with a huge bathtub/rainfall shower, comfortable furniture, and great views. The problems I found, however, were an outrageously overpriced brunch -- 45 Euros with tax for a small buffet offering; mediocre location....although close to the airport it is still 20 Euro taxi ride and getting virtually anywhere else in Madrid took 45 minutes.”

“the rooms were great , and bar and public spaces good although they should employ staff that are not upset when you want a drink at 12.30 and they close at 1AM, the resturant was very pleasant but the room service was way overpriced for the standard of its service other 4*hotels in the same city such as the URBAN offer a way better standard of service,,,,its a nice hotel -but i think 5***** "GL" a little over rated.”
