   What I liked:

   Great sea views”

   What the hotel could do better:

   “The Pullman seduces with tastefully art directed photography. Sharply angled loungers by an azure blue sea.

   Reality is a good sea front but an ordinary conference hotel with some staff who may have been in the sun too long. Prepare to pay at least 15€ for a taxi to the Old Port. Too far to walk.”

   What the hotel could do better:

   “the more relevant question might be: What did you NOT dislike.

   Details?

   - Needs serious renovation; only the main desk area and the immediate pool area are in good shape (scuffed furniture and walls, stained and discolored carpets, peeling balconies, drooping fixtures, textiles in need of dry cleaning;

   - staff is clearly overworked and underappreciated;

   - gym is a joke and what is available largely does not work;

   - public area WCs out of order @ bar/restaurant level;

   - menu is limited, with no specials and food is OK but not much more;

   - outdoor furniture (room and public areas) is either rusted or cheap plastic;

   - basic things like getting a taxi are a mess; taxi drivers explain why: on longer hauls (like airport) the hotel takes a cut (10 Euros) - as a result, reserved taxis make last minute choices not to show up when they are offered a better (no-tithe) deal elsewhere;

   - i could go on, but i assume my point of view is clear.

   “Only the public spaces are good. For the rest this hotel should have 2 stars.”

   What the hotel could do better:

   “The room had the plaster on the roof of the balcony completely falling down, an iron table full rusty, there were bathrobes only for one people /we were two), the couch was dirty (white spots everywhere) and the balcony looked out to a beach full of garbage. A journey to forget.”
