1. “beautiful aesthetically. My very spacious room looked out over the park; the inner courtyard features a japanese-style garden. The amenities are very generous; the spa area is amazing and not at all crowded - I was alone for my entire swim / steam bath - almost an hour. Located within an easy 5-minute walk from the main train station so excellent airport access. Great attention to detail & friendly helpful staff.”

2. “Happy to report that the excellent reviews on Tablet matched my experience. Everything was excellent, including meals at the hotel restaurant. Next time in Munich I will definitely stay at the Charles again. Spa and gym are also big added bonuses.”

4. “It has a clean grandeur. It is modern but not cold or too trendy. The service was impeccable. The spa was wonderful and had a great menu of services. The food in the restaurant was four star.”

6. “This is a first rate hotel, as good as I have ever stayed in. The good news started with the very warm greeting at the front desk, and just carried on from there. Rooms were really wonderful, with fabulous bathrooms - with first class toiletries. The continental breakfast, while expensive, was first rate with wonderful selection. The restaurant is very modern, and comfortable at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel location, while appearing to be somewhat out of the way, was in fact very close to the city centre. And the views of the Botanical Garden from my window was very special.”

7. “Quiet, first class rooms, great location, warm, competent staff. Just two blocks from the train station, museums, and shopping. Much better value than the Bayericherhof and nicer rooms than the Kempinsky.”
