    What I liked:

“Location, beach. Amazing swimming pool and a great beach restaurant.”

What the hotel could do better:

“To put it simply, the beds are unacceptable for a 5-star resort. The mattresses are very hard and unappealing. Coupled with low quality sheets and old lumpy pillows, it makes what could be a very relaxing room, a chore to sleep in.

To further note our dissapointment with the Racha, we were very put off by the front desk staff during our last two nights at the resort, in particular the manager. VERY unhelpful extending our stay or exploring travel options during the Dec. 08 airport closures in Bangkok. A 5-star rating encompasses many aspects of a hotel, but most importantly "service"...which in my opinion lacks serverly at this resort.”

    What I liked:

“When you arrive at the Racha, you know you've arrived. Everything to a standard not reached elsewhere in our 3 weeks in Thailand. To be honest, I'm not sure how they do it--very high staff to guest ratio, to begin with.”

What the hotel could do better:

“On the island, the Racha dominates, so if you're looking for a variety of experiences, go somewhere else. If you're looking for 5 days of uniform bliss, this'll do just fine...”

    What I liked:

“I loved the journey to get there. I was upgraded to a beachfront cottage with pool on checkin. Great food, amazing spa. Wonderfully romantic even though I was there by myself. Would go back (with someone).”

What the hotel could do better:

“It rained everyday I was there (in late September). The beach facilities were not open due to the bad weather.”
