What I liked:
“One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in, the Mansion is simply luxurious. Every foot of hallway is lined with oil paintings, thick draperies, and crystal chandeliers. Our room was lovely, with a big soaking tub with a view into the bedroom area (or could be closed off with dutch doors). The location on the park was very convenient. The attached restaurant is very high end (dress accordingly) and the food was delicious.
The staff was very gracious and accommodating, particularly when we called to let them know that we would be arriving in the middle of the night.”
What the hotel could do better:
“With all the over-the-top luxury, maintenance is an issue. I would have enjoyed the crystal light fixtures in my bathroom more if they hadn't been coated in dust. Some of the dramatic furnishings may present maintenance problems -- an unusually shaped bathroom mirror had the corner broken off; the usual problems with water damage around shower; overall, it could have been cleaner and shinier.”

What I liked:
“Architecture of the new hotel blended very well with the historic mansion it is attached to.”
What the hotel could do better:
“Having hot water would be a nice start.
Interiors are a little bit worn and TV's are old school tube type with poorly designed interface/remote to change channels. Hotel front desk service was below average to poor.”
