  4. frogster

    What I liked:

“Not really a boutique neither a 'budget' hotel, the service is typical of a 5* hotel in the region. The views over Seoul are quite nice because its on a hill. This area of the city is relatively quiet.”

What the hotel could do better:

“Not much nearby, plan on taking a taxi or walking down and up the hill to the nearest metro station (about 5 min)”

  5. PirateAlex

    What I liked:

“Some of the best service I've had in Asia. Typically, service in Asia is either robotically protocoled or sloppy. The staff at the Shilla seem interested in making their service feel personal. They remembered our names throughout our stay, were always ready to offer up restaurant tips and hand you reservations, maps, and their favorite items from the menu before you even asked. They were excellent.”

What the hotel could do better:

“Gorgeous lobby, old rooms. The rooms felt dated, worn and don't really fit the bill in terms of what you'd expect from a premium hotel. But I'd have to say that the service makes up for it so I'd definitely stay here again.”
