1. “This is the highest plateau in Europe, reminiscent of the Altiplano in the Andes only much smaller - but well worth a ride or a drive. Desolate and rugged ... it is within a National Park. For those of you who are familiar with Tuscany, this is a totally different aspect of Italy - less travelled and perhaps more beautiful.”
